The middle of summer is the grass court tennis season, with a brief run of tournaments before Wimbledon takes centre stage. As usual, tennis mania will be gripping the country as Britons hope that Jack Draper can follow in the footsteps of Andy Murray, or Emma Raducanu can recapture the form that won the 2021 US Open title.

While all eyes will be on the grass courts of south London, it is worth remembering a fun fact that lawn tennis was actually invented in Birmingham, with the first lawn tennis club then being established in Leamington Spa.

Of course, you may not be quite able to reproduce some iconic tennis pictures – especially not the risqué one of the ‘Tennis Girl’ taken for the publisher Athena of a female player without one important garment – but you can still produce some great pictures that will produce some wonderful memories.
