When you’re planning your own nuptials, it can be easy to forget how much it might cost other people, because you’ll be looking at the figures of what it’s costing you.

But new research from eBay has revealed that Brits will spend £18 billion this summer going to weddings and attending hen and stag dos. According to the survey, eight per cent of 18 to 44 year olds spend £1,200 going to weddings each summer, Pretty52 reported.

It doesn’t hurt to think about how far your wedding guests might be travelling or how much it could be costing them to be part of your big day. While the point is obviously to watch you tie the knot, that doesn’t mean you can’t provide some fun activities and keepsakes for them of your special day.

Arranging photo booth hire in Shropshire, or wherever you’re having your wedding, is the perfect solution. People love piling into a booth with their nearest and dearest to snap some silly shots – and if you let them have copies of some of the best images they can serve as an excellent reminder of your wedding for those who attend.

That’s got to be better than just fitting them all into a wedding album that rarely sees the light of day, right?

And it seems that our weddings as a whole are changing. Humanist UK revealed that the number of humanist weddings being carried out in the country has increased by 266 per cent in the last decade.

In the same period, the number of faith-based weddings being conducted in England and Wales have fallen.
