Could You Plan A Wedding In A Month?

Most brides and grooms take their time planning their wedding, enjoying the luxury of organising the fine details over several months or even years.

However, one couple decided they did not want to wait a long time to tie the knot, and arranged the biggest day of their lives in just four weeks.

Malou and Phil Brooks have been together for several years, and gave birth to their son Kieran in 2015.

However, when Kieran was diagnosed with leukaemia, they put any plans for a wedding on hold until after his treatment finished, The Portsmouth News reported.

On November 2018, Phil, 58, finally popped the question at a surprise birthday party he organised for Malou.

Despite getting married over a year later, they only decided to book the wedding four weeks before as the 34-year-old bride’s family were visiting from the Philippines and the couple wanted to coincide the trip with their special day.

Malou explained: “I got my dress two weeks before and booked the venue a month before. A lot of venues were booked up because of Christmas, but luckily we go to Langstone Hotel.”

The couple managed to get 70 guests at their nuptials, and even asked a wedding singer to learn one of their favourite songs just three days before the big event.

Though the wedding seemed to go off without a hitch, it is definitely easier if both the bride and groom have a big role to play in organising the nuptials.

Recently-married Hailey Bieber revealed in their YouTube series Seasons that her singing sensation husband Justin was “not very involved” in the planning of their nuptials, with the 25-year-old admitting: “I just basically showed up.”
