Tips For Throwing A Fantastic Christmas Party

If you’re planning a Christmas party this year, we have some tips. Just don’t forget to plan how to tackle the morning-after hangover!

After Christmas gatherings were cancelled last year, we are all wanting to make the best out of this Christmas, as well as keeping our fingers crossed that another lockdown isnt announced!

If youre planning a Christmas party this year, then its all about creating meaningful memories, spending time with your nearest and dearest, and having a ball! However, to achieve that, and ensure the evening is stress-free, we have some tips. Just dont forget to plan how to tackle the morning-after hangover!

Theme Your Christmas Party

A theme will help focus your plans, as well as make it stand out from all the other soirées being held. Maybe an ugly Christmas jumper theme, or make it tropical with Hawaiian shirts and Tiki cocktails and beach balls. Whatever you decide, it will make sure that photos from the evening will be amazing.

Set Up A Photo Booth

Talking of photos from the evening, why not hire a photo booth to give guests a chance to get creative with more than just their smartphones. Choose an appropriate background (not necessarily Christmas themed – you might want a beach scene for your Tiki/Hawaiian/Tropical theme), and dont forget to get plenty of props for people to play with.

Make The Bar Self-Service

You dont want to be spending the evening serving drinks to all your guests, so set up a self-service station. While guests will gladly BYOB, you can create a themed punch, or supply festive glassware. Dont forget to include bottle openers and corkscrews, and a non-alcoholic selection for non-drinkers or designated drivers.

Offer Snacks Instead Of A Sit-Down Dinner

As with above, the last thing you want to be doing is slaving away in the kitchen when youd rather be catching up with friends and family, so provide a buffet of finger foods and small bites that are easy to prepare in advance.
