Charming 2021 Wedding Trends To Know About

But 2021 isn’t too far off now and, with news of potentially viable vaccines now hitting the headlines, it’s time to start thinking ahead.

As we all know, weddings for 2020 have either been delayed, postponed or even outright cancelled as a result of the global pandemic, which has no doubt been incredibly distressing for all those would-be happy couples out there.

But 2021 isn’t too far off now and, with news of potentially viable vaccines now hitting the headlines, it’s time to start thinking ahead to what potential trends we’re likely to see for weddings next year.

Editors of wedding website The Knot have helpfully come together to make their predictions for the coming 12 months, including a Welcome Box at the guest entry touchpoint, including everything they could need for a covid-secure event, ranging from hand sanitisers and masks to programmes and wedding favours.

Another interesting trend being forecast for 2021 is the rise of the mini toast, coming to the fore because of the more intimate nature of ceremonies and receptions these days. These toasts would involve friends and family stepping up to share happy memories of the couple. And couples themselves are also expected to start giving toasts to loved ones, as well!

How charming does that sound? As much fun as a giant party is, having to hold smaller weddings with a select number of guests certainly seems to have encouraged a lot of innovative thinking on the part of newlyweds so they can still have the wedding of their dreams.

Of course, the real icing on the cake of any wedding is – you guessed it – the photo booth. Guests will always love getting together (socially distanced, of course) to have their pictures taken together… and photo booths encourage all sorts of silliness, so you’re sure to get some amazing photos.
